FumeFX 7.5 introduces GPU-accelerated simulation powered by NVIDIA CUDA, delivering speed improvements of 2× to 5×. When GPU memory becomes insufficient, the simulation automatically switches to CPU mode, ensuring the process can continue without interruption. The new GPU Viewport 2.0 replaces the old Multiview mode, offering detailed display of multiple FumeFX grids with correct occlusion against scene geometry. Viewport performance has been greatly improved, eliminating previous lag and keeping redraws perfectly in sync with the scene. FumeFX 7.5 also brings dynamic two-way interaction between FumeFX fluids and NodeWorks particle shapes, which can now act as built-in PhysX rigid bodies for more advanced simulation behavior. As with previous releases, the subscription model ensures continuous development, delivering regular updates, refinements, and new tools to keep pace with the industry’s evolving demands.
