FumeFX supports local rendering with mental ray renderer while network rendering is possible with purchase of additional rendering licenses. Each render node license is not limited to the number of CPUs.
In contrast to 3ds max where FusionWorks is required to properly blend multiple volumetric effects, multiple FumeFX grids will properly mix in mental ray by enabling 'Auto volume' option.
Prices are per node (CPU unlimited).
